- I'm a retired teacher who was diagnosed with ALS during the summer of 2007. However, symptoms were evident from 2004. Presently, I'm in a wheel chair 24/7 and am slowly losing my speech. Although the disease has become more and more frustrating I've been able to keep my spirits up and enjoy almost every day. I love my apartment with it's gorgeous views and close proximity to shops. It was a smart move from my house on Burnaby Mountain. Care workers, family, and friends have been terrific at helping me traverse down this winding ALS road filled with challenges.
I do exercise--honest
I rarely make phone calls any more because of my ALS accent and voice fatigue.
Have confidence-- will travel.
This is my house and don't bother me.

How sweet! I just love cats! We have 4 indoors, 4 outdoors (3 are kittens - 2 weeks old), 4 dogs, 2 pygmy goats, 1 wild hog, and 2 rabbits. Animals are such fun :O).
Karyn - Kali and I are headed to Texas in the morning. We will be gone for 2 weeks - with no computer availability. Whoa! I'll catch up with you when we get back on the 24th. We homeschool and are going to a speech and debate conference as part of Kali's high school credits. Have a great couple weeks. I'll talk with you when we get home.
