Welcome to my blog. I have had ALS for 10 years now.

Since I started this blog in June 2008 I've had amazing feedback. Family, friends, people from all over North America, Australia, Scotland, England, and places I can't recall, have commented, encouraged and corresponded. I had no idea when Cynthia taught me how to set this up, how much I would love posting and how many people would read it. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped propel this therapeutic exercise into a daily routine. All of you, both friends and visitors, are now part of my blog family. Welcome.

Hi everyone it's Barb with a message from Karyn, she remains in transitional care and is making slow but steady progress, her pain has decreased thus allowing her to become more mobile, she is getting up to walk a short distance every day with the physiotherapist and spends 1-2 hours up in her power-chair,at last the weather here is improving and today 2 friends were taking a picnic lunch and hoping Karyn could eat outside with them, she certainly doesn't give the facility's food a high rating so we are trying to supplement her meals, she is of course looking forward to her return home and we will assist her with the planning for the care she will require, all for now.
