Old Ranch

This is the Old Ranch where we kept horses. It was fun to ride in the hills. This is the first time I saw wild horses roaming. We encountered them not far from Tom's old cabin. 

A Definition of ALS

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. As motor neurons die in the cells, the brain's ability to send signals to the body's muscles is compromised. This leads to loss of voluntary muscle movement, paralysis and eventually respiratory failure. There is no proven treatment or cure for ALS, and most patients die within five years of diagnosis.

Olive published a book about the Irish settlers who came to Canada. It is an interesting read. It was nice to see both of them. I worked with Jung for many years.
